Registration

Registration is currently closed for all schools for the December class.  Registration for the February class opens on January 12th  @8:00 am.

Participation in UCPS Driver Education requires a registration and payment of $65. Registration for a class opens at 8:00 a.m. on a designated date (payments received prior to 8 a.m. on the opening day of registration will be invalid and subsequently refunded).

Registration Is A Multi-Step Process

1. Begin with the registration form, and progress to section 3. There you will be prompted to pay for the course via a link to Online School Payment (OSP).
2. After paying $65 through OSP for Driver Education, you will be given an order number.
3. Return to the registration form and enter the order number you received upon payment into section 3. Finish completing the remainder of the registration form AND click "Submit" at the end. You should receive two emails: one confirming payment and one confirming registration. 

If you do not receive an email confirming registration in the Driver Education course, you are not registered AND you should immediately email driver.ed@ucps.k12.nc.us. 

Registration Limits

Enrollment for the online course may be limited due to the number of students waiting for the Behind the Wheel (BTW) portion of Driver Education.

• Students that attend a Union County Public School may only register for the Driver Education course for the school they are enrolled in and attending (e.g. a student enrolled at SVHS may only register and take Driver Education through Sun Valley High School).
• Students who attend a private, charter, or home school registered in Union County may only pay for other (UA/home school/private/charter). When registering, when asked if a UCPS student, select "no" for other options.
• If your school/site has reached registration capacity, another school/site cannot be chosen. If your school is no longer listed for registration or payment platforms, capacity has been reached.
