What is your favorite subject in school and why?

My favorite subject is American history, or history in general. I really enjoy learning about the past. Learning more deeply about the Holocaust has been impactful. It’s shocking because it really happened. 

What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done in a school project or lesson?

In biology, I remember doing microscope labs where we put some liquid on slides and looked at microorganisms moving around. I also dissected a cow’s eye in middle school, which was really interesting and fun, especially working with my classmates.

If you could learn any skill instantly, what would it be?

I would like to understand math more quickly because it’s hard for me.

Would you rather be able to talk to animals or speak and understand any language in the world?

I would rather be able to understand every language in the world. I’m Puerto Rican, but I don’t speak Spanish, so there’s a language barrier. I usually need my mom to translate it for me. Being able to speak different languages would help me communicate better and connect with more people.

What do you like to do in your free time?

At home, I like to color, listen to music or put a show on. Recently, I’ve been watching Gossip Girl, and I like it so far. I also like playing pickleball with my friends.

What career would you like to go into?

I want to be a physical therapist because I want to help people, especially athletes, recover from injuries and get back to full strength. I play softball, and my sister played softball growing up, so I got into the sport by playing with her. We were often on the same team, and I’ve always loved being part of a team. Because of that, I wanted to stay in the sports world. I thought about becoming a sports trainer or a physical therapist so I could stay involved in athletics.

I’m committed to Coastal Carolina to play softball. They have a strong exercise science program, which fits perfectly with my goals.

What’s your favorite genre of music, favorite artist and current favorite song?

Lately, I’ve been listening to country music. I really like Jon Pardi, especially after going to his concert. One of my favorite songs is “Dirt on My Boots.” My all-time favorite artist is Bruno Mars, and my favorite song by him is “When I Was Your Man.”

What celebrity would you want to be your best friend, and why?

I would choose Zendaya because she’s talented and seems like she has a fun personality. She’s been in a lot of great movies and can sing and dance. She’s also tall like me. I feel like she’d be a Pilates-in-the-morning kind of person and then we’d get coffee afterward.
