What’s new: PaySchools Central replaces K-12 Payment Center

Students in a school cafeteria getting lunch.

Union County Public Schools (UCPS) now uses PaySchools Central as the online platform for managing student meal accounts. This system replaces the former K-12 Payment Center, offering families a convenient and secure way to pay for school meals.

Balances from the K-12 Payment Center have been transferred to the new system.

To get started, families will need their child’s Infinite Campus student ID number. This number can be found in Infinite Campus or provided by the school.

With PaySchools Central, families can:

  • Add funds to student meal accounts from any device.
  • Apply online for free or reduced-price meals.
  • Set up low-balance reminders and automatic payments.
  • Review and manage cafeteria purchases.
  • Access detailed reports and track spending.
  • Manage multiple student accounts with a single login.
  • Allow multiple family members to create accounts and add the same student(s), so more than one person can contribute funds.

The system is available 24/7 through the PaySchools Central website or mobile app. Families can download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play for easy access on the go.

Account information remains with students as they transition from school to school within UCPS, allowing for seamless maintenance of meal services.

There is no fee to create an account or to apply for free or reduced-price meals. If families choose to preload funds using a debit/credit card or ACH transfer, a small service fee will apply. Meal funds can still be added without any fee by cash or check in the lunch line.
