November UCPS influencers show the power of caring in action

Two UCPS employees honored as November 2025 Influencers, shown at their school and classroom.

Union County Public Schools (UCPS) honored its November influencers at the Nov. 6 Board of Education meeting.

The Influencers program honors the enthusiasm, commitment and outstanding work ethic of UCPS staff members who consistently put in extra effort each day.

This recognition is special because it results from nominations from our staff, students, families and community members. These people see firsthand the positive impact these employees have on students and their peers.

The honorees were Jana Manery, a fifth-grade teacher at Western Union Elementary and Sandra Calhoun, a custodian at Piedmont High.

The employees were celebrated for exemplifying the performance, dedication and teamwork essential to the district's and its students' success. They received a certificate, a UCPS Influencers shirt and an Amazon gift card.
