Asbestos & Lead Testing
New Rule expands Lead and Asbestos Inspection, Testing, Abatement, And Remediation in North Carolina Public Schools and Licensed Child Care Facilities
In 2023, North Carolina enacted rules 10A NCAC 41C .1001-1007 requiring all public schools and licensed child care facilities to:
- Test for lead in water used for drinking and cooking
- Inspect for lead-based paint hazards
- Inspect for asbestos hazards
